Travel with us on the rhythm of the smashing sound of Samba and Bossa Nova to the Brazilian rainforrests and even experience how dancing chickens are laying their eggs inbetween tigersm snakes and other inhabitants of the jungle! Bichos do Brasil is a compilation without text with colorful images, music and the special use of more than 50 puppets which makes the performance applicable for everybody as of 3 years.

Teatro Munganga is playing this production with the original puppets made by the Brazilian theatremaker/visual artist Beto Lima in 1999. A festive hommage to this artist, who suddenly has passed away in January 2006. Together with Beto Andretta, Beto Lima has founded the theatregroup Pias Fraus 25 years ago in Brazil. In the last 35 years Carlos Lagoeiro and Beto Lima have made various theatre performances in Brazil and the Netherlands. Bichos dio Brasil has the charisma of a summer type carneval partym, which can be performed everywhere. Inside the theatre but also in open air locations, during festivals, street theatre festivals and other special l(outside) ocations.
